About Blanca Heredia
Blanca Heredia Rubio is professor, researcher and Coordinator General of the Interdisciplinary Program on Education Policy and Practices (PIPE) at CIDE (Mexico City). She conducts applied research and social entrepreneurship projects at the intersection between education and economic growth.
She has been visiting professor at Georgetown University, Northwestern University and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and consultant to the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Norwegian Development Agency (NORAD) among others.
Blanca has been Academic Secretary of CIDE, Academic Vice-Chancellor of the American University in Paris, OECD Representative in Mexico for Latin America, and Commissioner for Political Development in the Ministry of Interior, Mexico.
She holds a PhD in Political Science from Columbia University and a degree in International Relations from Colegio de México.
